All sizes are rubber-wheeled dump trailers designed to minimize the risk of driveway damage - a more property-conscious alternative to traditional roll-off containers. Aiken Dumpster Rentals uses a pickup truck to tow the trailer rather than a traditional roll-off truck that must load and support the container during pickup - a difference that also reduces stress on your driveway and the ground near its edge.

Each rental includes a set weight allowance (2 tons for the 12 yd, 2.5 tons for the 15 yd, and 3 tons for the 17 yd). If your load exceeds the included weight, we charge $50 per additional ton. We weigh the load at the disposal facility and will notify you of any overage charges after pickup. We explain all applicable charges upfront before you rent.
Yes. The standard rental period is 3 days, but you can extend for $25 per additional day. If you know upfront that you'll need more time, just mention it when you book and we'll factor it into your quote. We're flexible - just communicate your timeline and we'll work with you.
A swap-out is when we pick up your full dumpster and replace it with a fresh empty one so you can continue loading. This is useful for larger projects that generate more debris than one dumpster can hold. The swap-out fee is your base rental rate minus 10%, and a new 3-day rental period begins from the time of the swap. Swap-outs are available Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm only - not on weekends or outside those weekday hours. Call us when your dumpster is getting full and we'll schedule the swap.
No. You do not need to be present for delivery or pickup. During booking, you'll tell us exactly where to place the dumpster - driveway location, any gate codes, access notes, etc. We handle it from there. Just make sure the placement area is clear and accessible on your delivery date.
You need at least 12 feet of overhead clearance - that is the height requirement for delivery and pickup. For ground length, plan for the trailer's box length plus 3 feet for the trailer tongue: the 12-yard box is 12 ft (15 ft total), the 15-yard box is 14 ft (17 ft total), and the 17-yard box is 16 ft (19 ft total). Note that these ground-length figures are for placement space only - the box dimensions listed on each size card describe the interior loading area. Most residential driveways accommodate our trailers without issue. If you have a tight space or low-hanging branches, mention it when booking and we'll advise on placement options.
Payment is due at or before dumpster drop-off. If you cannot be present at drop-off, electronic payment options are available - just let us know when booking and we will arrange payment in advance. Any additional charges that are not determinable upfront - such as overweight fees (weighed at the disposal facility after pickup) or special-handling fees for certain materials - may be invoiced separately after the rental is complete. We explain all applicable charge types before you rent so there are no surprises.
