Most residential and light-construction debris can go straight into a rental dumpster - but there are important exceptions for hazardous materials, liquids, and certain heavy or regulated items. Accepted Materials
The following items are fully accepted and can be loaded directly into your Aiken Dumpster Rentals trailer. - Household junk and general clutter (clothing, boxes, knickknacks, miscellaneous items)
- Furniture - sofas, armchairs, dining tables, dressers, bookshelves, bed frames
- Construction debris - drywall, framing lumber, wood flooring, subflooring, OSB, trim
- Renovation materials - cabinets, countertops, fixtures, ceramic tile, bathroom vanities, drywall scraps
- Yard debris - branches, shrubs, brush, leaves, grass clippings (note: large logs and tree stumps are not accepted)
- Cardboard and packing materials - boxes, foam, bubble wrap, packing peanuts
- General household cleanout items - holiday decorations, old toys, sporting goods, tools, lamps, small shelving
- Small appliances - microwaves, toasters, coffee makers, small kitchen equipment
Accepted With Special Handling
Some materials are accepted with special handling - a required placement and a fee rule. Review the table below before loading so there are no surprises on your final invoice. Items marked "beside the dumpster" must not go inside it - set them on the ground next to the trailer so our driver can process them separately.

Absolutely Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be placed in or beside the dumpster under any circumstances. These restrictions exist because of state and federal environmental regulations, landfill restrictions, and the safety of our drivers and the general public. Disposal of prohibited items can result in significant additional fees and regulatory action.
- Household garbage, household trash, and municipal solid waste (MSW) - regular bagged household waste of any kind is never accepted
- Liquids of any kind - motor oil, cooking oil, paint thinners, solvents, fuel, chemicals
- Hazardous materials - pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, cleaning solvents, fertilizers with hazardous classification
- Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials - pipe insulation, old floor tiles, ceiling tiles from pre-1980 construction
- Concrete, brick, rock, or soil - these materials are too heavy for our trailers and exceed weight limits
- Lithium-ion and household batteries (power tools, e-bikes, laptops, phones) - auto/marine batteries are accepted beside the dumpster with no fee (see above)
- Medical waste or sharps - syringes, needles, or any biohazardous material
- Human or animal remains
- Pressurized containers other than propane cylinders - oxygen cylinders, aerosol canisters with pressure remaining (propane cylinders are accepted beside the dumpster with no fee - see above)
- Paint cans, drums, and similar containers unless completely emptied, crushed flat, and incapable of holding liquid. "Dried out" or "empty" alone does not qualify - call (803) 679-8899 if unsure.

Loading Tips
Proper loading protects your driveway, our trailer, and keeps your rental process smooth from start to finish. Keep these guidelines in mind as you fill the dumpster:
- Keep all debris inside the sides of the trailer - nothing should extend above the rim or hang over the edges, as overloaded trailers cannot be legally transported
- Distribute weight evenly from front to back and side to side to prevent the trailer from shifting during transport
- Heavy dense materials like concrete, rock, and brick are prohibited - ceramic tile from renovations is accepted but adds significant weight, so call us if you're concerned about approaching your weight limit
- Do not attempt to relocate or move the dumpster trailer once it has been placed - our drivers position it for safe pickup and road clearance
- Do not load items after the agreed rental period ends - we schedule pickup by the end date confirmed at booking, and late additions can disrupt our routing
