- Liquids of any kind
- Lithium-ion and household batteries (auto/marine batteries are accepted beside the dumpster at no fee)
- Household garbage, household trash, and municipal solid waste (MSW)
- Hazardous chemicals or materials
Accepted with special handling: large appliances ($25 each, A/C and HVAC units included), tires ($10 each), and electronics ($10 each) are placed beside the dumpster (mattresses go inside); auto/marine batteries and propane cylinders go beside the dumpster at no fee. Choosing the Right Size for Your Renovation
Renovation debris is denser than it looks. Tile and drywall stack, but they are heavy. Here is a practical starting point:

Placement Tips for Renovation Projects
Where you put the dumpster matters as much as which size you order. A few things to think through before delivery:
- Proximity to the work area: The closer the container is to where demo is happening, the faster and easier debris removal becomes. Think about window access - if demo debris can be passed directly through a window into the dumpster, loading time drops significantly.
- Door clearance: If workers are carrying material out the front or back door, position the dumpster so they are not navigating around vehicles or through tight gaps.
- Staging for the whole project: For multi-week renovations, the dumpster may sit for several days. Make sure its position doesn't block access to other parts of the property that need to stay usable.
Driveway-Safe Equipment During Renovations

The delivery vehicle also matters. When a traditional roll-off truck retrieves a loaded container, it must bear the full combined weight of the truck plus the loaded dumpster - a substantial load concentrated near the edge of your driveway.
